Print this pageForward this document  Erroneous acceptance of CO-17 returns by Revenu Québec in DT Max Version 25.15 or 25.30

Program(s) affected: Document created: 07 04, 2022
Tax year(s): 2021, 2022 Document last modified:
Version(s): 25.15, 25.30 Problem status: Pending

One or more CO-17 returns, transmitted under DT Max Version 25.15 or 25.30, could indicate that it has been accepted by Revenu Québec when, in actuality, it has not. What should I do?

To determine whether you fall into this situation, please verify whether:
  • The DT Max Client List shows a status of "Q EFILE acknowledgement OK" and
  • The related efile report does not display a Hash number (screen shot below).

Another indication that you have fallen into this situation is if you efiled a return and notice Line 01b on page 1 of the Quebec Keying Summary (COR-17.W) is incomplete (screen shot below).

Note: The efile report can be displayed through the option Efile > View and print Efile reports ...

If your declaration was not received and the statutory filing date of your declaration has not been exceeded by more than 5 days, try to send it again by following the procedure below:

  • Please delete the Progress keyword > Efile acknowledgement Quebec
  • Re-calculate the return through the option Tools > Recalculate the current client (Alt + F9)
  • Confirm that Line 01b on the Quebec Keying Summary (COR-17.W) has been completed, and
  • Re-transmit the CO-17 return.

If the statutory filing date for your return has surpassed 5 days, contact Revenu Québec's customer services at 1-800-567-4692.

Please also take note of the mechanism put in place by Revenu Québec for corporations that have not regularized their situation and that are affected by the problem:
A notice of non-compliance will be issued approximately 45 days after the statutory filing date. At this point, you will have to contact Revenu Québec's customer service to regularize your client's situation.

Reminder: After installing a DT Max version, it is very important to recalculate a return prior to efiling.
